Facing Terrorism in America 2025

There is a pressing and concerning development in America that many experts have warned about for years. The early morning hours of New Year’s Day 2025 brought a grim reminder when an ISIS-inspired terrorist attack on Bourbon Street in New Orleans claimed the lives of 15 individuals and injured over 30 others. This tragic event underscores a troubling complacency that has taken hold among the U.S. government, local law enforcement, and even the general public since the devastating 9/11 attacks.

Under the Biden administration, significant focus has been placed on "white supremacy" as the primary domestic threat to America. However, intelligence experts such as Sarah Adams, a former CIA officer (source), and Scott Mann, a retired U.S. Army Green Beret (source), have consistently warned about the increasing dangers posed by radical Islamic terrorism. Adams recently revealed during an interview on The Shawn Ryan Show that thousands of al-Qaeda and ISIS operatives have entered the United States through the porous southern border over the past four years.

The global threat of radical Islam remains undiminished, as evidenced by the attacks on October 7, 2024, in Israel, the Christmas Market in Germany on December 21, 2024, and now New Orleans on 1/01/2025. These events serve as stark reminders of the persistent ambition among radical Islamist groups to establish a global caliphate.

Adding to this alarming context is the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan in August 2021, which left the Taliban—and by extension, other terrorist groups—with millions of dollars' worth of advanced military equipment. This withdrawal has emboldened these groups, providing them with resources and a perception of the West’s vulnerability. Recent attacks in Israel, Germany, and New Orleans illustrate a grim reality: ordinary citizens can no longer depend entirely on government agencies for protection.

The failures of law enforcement during crises, such as the Robb Elementary School shooting in Uvalde, Texas, highlight this unsettling trend. In Uvalde, some desperate parents bypassed police officers who appeared indecisive, risking their own lives to save their children. Similarly, the U.S. Secret Service failed to take what would be considered standard pre-event planning for a high-profile person for then candidate Trump, which resulted in Trump’s attempted assassination.

The security camera video footage of the terrorist attack on Bourbon St. in New Orleans, shows law enforcement pursuing the suspect vehicle while bypassing injured victims, leaving bystanders to fend for themselves. These incidents emphasize a critical lesson: in moments of crisis, immediate action and preparedness are vital. Citizens must be ready to protect themselves, provide emergency medical aid, and take charge of their own safety.

As an advocate for self-reliance and safety, I train everyday Americans to defend themselves using less-lethal tools like Byrna handheld devices and rifles, as well as firearms when appropriate. Incorporating emergency medical training into these sessions has become a necessity, given the clear and present danger posed by radical Islamist terrorists and their sympathizers. The days, weeks, and months ahead demand vigilance, preparation, and a proactive approach to personal and community safety.
